Doesn't anyone know?

As a child I remember every year we HAD to watch the Charlie Brown Christmas.

That was before VHS or DVD or DVR. So if you missed a show you couldn't run to the computer and watch the episode the next day or the video store and rent it.

We (Jeff and I) carried on this tradition with Nicole. Even though by the time she was old enough to pay attention we owned our own copy of it. Doesn't matter, I still make sure I am sitting in front of the tv when that one show is aired every year. Something sappy about that I know, but...

So as we either wind down to or pick up the pace and race to Christmas day, I would like to take a moment, in Charles Shulz fashion to remember "Isn't there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?"

Linus’ King James version scripture reading from Luke 2: 8-14, read:

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were so afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this [shall be] a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

That’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.

Long days and pleasant nights to ye everyone!
